Politicing

So, I've been racking my brain trying to come up with something to talk about for my first blog. I still don't really have a topic, but I don't want this to end up like every other social networking endeavor I embark on and just fall by the way side so I'm going to try my hardest to keep my blog updated. I'll take this opportunity to discuss a taboo conversation topic...politics. I strongly believe that it is the job of the government to protect and serve it's citizens. This is were I also believe the job of the government stops. The tax paying citizens should be able to pursue any business expeditions they so desire and indulge in any recreational activities they wish. What I am saying is, the less government interferes, the better. I am a strong supporter of the constitution and the liberties that it protects. If politicians actually cared about their country and the freedom of their fellow citizens instead of their own agendas, politics would not be the corrupt, unjust system it is today. I know this seems like a broken record (especially if you are an outspoken college student or know one), but I truly think the less the government is involved with the personal, everyday life of its citizens, the better the system will operate. Of corse I'm not saying that things such as public education or correctional facilities should no longer be funded by the government. That goes back to my first statement that service and protection should be a major part of why the government exists. I now feel as if I'm just rabbling on about something that will obviously never change or at least not in my life time. Haha. If you are looking for a new political party (which is also something I am not a fan of) look into the Libertarian party and their stand on government. I don't know about you, but I will be voting for Ron Paul in the up coming election. Im aware that my vote will probably be in vain, but if you don't stand for something...well you know the rest. As I come to the end of this new blog entry I realize I don't really like the serious blog very much. From now on I will blog only about the random nonsense that I think about all day long. Should be interesting. Goodbye for now. Have a nice day.
